Audemars Piguet appoints Jonathan King as CEO, South East Asia
Luxury watch brand Audemars Piguet has appointed Jonathan King as the CEO of South East Asia (including India and Australia), the company said in a statement. Born in London, United Kingdom, King has lived in various parts of the world including Boston, New York, Hong Kong, Kenya and most recently, Tokyo. In 2012, he joined Audemars Piguet as CEO of Audemars Piguet, Japan. Audemars Piguet stated that in the past five years King spearheaded significant projects that elevated the brand to new heights in a challenging environment.
The company said he will now use his brand development know how to lead the South East Asia team and enhance business in the region.
"I'm thrilled to be back in Singapore, one of Audemars Piguet's leading markets, heading an excellent team of committed professionals. The South East Asia scene is fast paced and sophisticated and it brings me much excitement being in this dynamic part of Asia once again," King added. King has previously also worked in Singapore in the luxury watch and jewelry field. An MBA in strategic management, King started his career more than 20 years ago in the luxury industry.
